Reforming or Rescue centres for cockatiel

Post by KathiB » Thu Aug 18, 2016 7:33 am

Hi,
I am new to the site and looking for advice please.
My elderly sister in Birmingham is not coping with her 2 year old cockatiel and it had been plucking out its feathers and lost a lot of weight.
The vet thinks she may be board and stressed as left alone quite a lot in quiet flat and she refuses to eat fresh fruit and veg.

I would like to rehouse her but not sure what the options are.
Any advice please?

Thanks in advance.

Hi sorry you never got a reply, did you find a home for the cockatiel, could you take him in?

There's a lady called Alison who runs The Haven Parrot Center in Tamworth, who could help you. She would either rehome for you or if she feels he would be better staying there, Alison would keep him with her other longterm birds x
